“Wild Flowers” was written after a stay in a cabin in the forest, away from everyday life. Elise and Thomas were working on each others song ideas for a while. This is one of the first songs they wrote together from the start. Combining elements of both their influences, R&B, soul and indie music.
Come walk with me to,
where the river ends
Among the wild flowers
is where I stand
and they bloom in may
here my love
is where I lay
I lay waiting just for you
I lay waiting just for you
As the sun warms our skin
diving to the current
it takes us away
Passing by
We’re passing by now
Here my love
is where I lay
I lay waiting just for you
I lay waiting just for you
No no matter storm
No no matter the weather
Let the rain come, rain come
If you and me just hold on
If you and me just hold on
If you and me just hold on
Hold me there in the dark of night
Underneath the starry sky
and the moon it shines so bright
As soon as we’re out of sight
I lay waiting just for you
I lay waiting just for you
