In 2001 Mathias a percussionist who already took part in ORANGE BLOSSOM first album  has joined again the tribe and presented then Leïla to the band. This young woman sings and writes in Algiers language. The band is instantly seduced by her voice. And that’s the starting point of a new adventure.

ORANGE BLOSSOM took to the road again and gave 120 gigs within  two years. Then they settled down to the creation of a new album. “EVERYTHING MUST CHANGE” was recorded in summer 2004 and will be released in France on February 28 th 2005 by Bonsaï Music.

The fact that their “old bases”  have actually taken today a new dimension their second recording is a definitely brand new project. On a sober electronic bass starts  the violin with a more oriental  lament than never. And then comes the beat inciting you to the dance. Suddenly you are struck by the voice ! Rough when low crystal when high it got yout guts : in long arid introductions as well as in more rhythmic periods.

At first the mix seems hard to believe but ORANGE BLOSSOM is a de luxe shaker where merge electronic and traditional musics coming from Africa and  Orient. Nervous shots of guitars, magic breaks and long hypnotic rises spice the whole thing ! Do we finally get there the great and mythical synthesis of those musics ?
