After years of continuous work, Gevende’s new album, ‘Ev’ was completed in
summer 2006. The album, released by Baykus Muzik is energetic, dynamic, and uplifting, a real gem for true music lovers.

For the past few years, psychedelic fusion band Gevende have been attracting increasing recognition for their sprawling improvisations and experimental collaborations as well as for the ability to channel their emotions into their live performances. When watching them play one senses that each chord played is a raw emotion, each note an expression.

In 2005 Gevende won first place at the 10th Tuborg Roxy Music awards and came second at the Bilkom short film competition. Since their formation the band have performed at the Amsterdam Roots Festival, Terschelling Oerol Festival, London Pulse Music Festival, H2000, Kayafest, London Orient Express Sessions, Athens Beyond the Music Festival, Eskisehir Jazz Festival, Samsun Jazz Festival, Barisarock, Ankara International Jazz Festival, and the prestigious Istanbul International Jazz Festival.

In September 2006 Gevende began their musical journey through Iran, Pakistan, India, and Nepal where they shared their talents with the local artists of these countries and filmed their experiences.
