Thundering tribal rhythms and intense build-ups that break into orgasmic release are the calling card of technotribalhouse DJ Arkin Allen. This Montreal based DJ and producer goes one step further than many DJs, creating his own unique remixes of tracks as diverse as Abba's Dancing Queen and the latest dancefloor faves for his explosive sets. Allen doesn't just play records, he creates unique soundtracks for the dancefloor.

Blending his understanding of Eastern mystical music with house and techno, he creates a euphoric, trance inducing dancefloor journey that has garnered him a loyal and diverse following in both the Gay and techno scenes in North America and Europe. Driven by a desire to communicate and share, Allen prefers to perform on a stage where he can see and interact with people on the dancefloor. A god may prefer to look down on the dancefloor from the isolation of a booth, but a shaman needs to be amongst the people to do his work.

Allen's releases include Omniscience, a compilation produced and mixed for Allen's own Sugarmonk Records to celebrate the 3 day long outdoor festival OM. Allen's production skills run from remixing and creating original house and techno tracks to producing, writing and performing world music. Allen has also contributed a track to Interchill Records' compilation Interior Horizons. His wide range of musical interests intersect on the dancefloor where Allen brings the ancient mysticism of Eastern music together with the euphoria of contemporary dance music. The world is sound and Allen conjures the universal heartbeat in a dancefloor ritual. Alien has performed at the internationally acclaimed circuit event Black & Blue in 98 (15.000 people attended) and currently balances a hectic schedule of DJing, playing live and producing both in North America and Europe.
